The Capture Energy Powerbox BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) offers robust safety features and certifications, ensuring reliability across all variants. Designed with multiple layers of safety measures, the system minimizes risk through advanced technology and certifications to rigorous safety standards. At the core, it utilizes Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells known for their high thermal stability and lower fire risk. Each cell incorporates safety mechanisms like PTC and over-pressure vents to prevent thermal runaway. The battery pack design further enhances safety, incorporating features to prevent thermal propagation and manage short circuits effectively.
Beyond the battery cells and packs, the system employs a sophisticated Battery Management System (BMS) that constantly monitors and manages battery health. This multilayered BMS, including a string BMS and a master BMS, ensures operational safety by disconnecting loads if parameters deviate from set limits. Electrical safety components and physical barriers add additional layers of protection.
