Capture Energy Enters Next Growth Phase with Daniel Åman as New CEO

Capture Energy, one of the Nordics’ fastest growing companies in battery energy storage, has appointed Daniel Åman as its new CEO. He assumes the role on February 16, 2026.

Since its founding in 2023, Capture Energy has established itself as a key player in battery energy storage across the Nordics. The company is now taking the next step with a CEO who has a proven track record of scaling technology companies internationally.

“We were looking for someone who combines technical sharpness with experience in building and scaling companies in complex markets. In Daniel, we found exactly that, and more,” says Frederik W. Skarstein, Chairman of the Board at Capture Energy.

Daniel Åman most recently served as CEO of Sightic Analytics, which was recently acquired by the publicly listed company Smart Eye. His background spans roles at Ericsson, Smart Eye, and SystemWeaver, and he is known for transforming technical innovation into commercial success.

“Capture Energy is at a very exciting stage. The need for flexible and intelligent energy storage is growing rapidly. I truly look forward to accelerating the company’s growth together with the team and contributing to building a more robust and sustainable energy system,” says Daniel Åman.

Niklas Tjäder, who has led the company as interim CEO during the recruitment process, now transitions into the role of Chief Commercial Officer.

“Over the past months, our operational governance structures have been significantly strengthened. Daniel joins a company that is ready for acceleration. I now look forward to focusing fully on our commercial expansion,” says Niklas Tjäder.

With ongoing expansion in Finland, the Baltics, and Southern Europe, Capture Energy aims to become one of Europe’s leading players in intelligent energy storage.
